After getting married, my wife and I found ourselves the proud owners of a real fixer-upper on the west side of Eau Claire, WI. With four walls, a half acre, and limited resources, we got to work carving out a little homestead in the middle of suburbia. Since then, our uninsulated walls and drafty windows have been buttoned up tight and the lawn has been taken over by a diverse array of plants, but the most striking transformation has been between us, this place, and the creator of it all.

Our intention was to create a paradise for our family and friends to enjoy the fruit of the season, to fill our space with every plant that is beautiful and delicious, so that we could spend our evenings harvesting instead of mowing. But in creating our ideal habitat, we found ourselves sharing the space with a multitude of creatures. We watched the entire ecosystem around us thrive and began to truly understand our role as tenders and keepers.

And thus, Perennial Yield was born to share this joy and celebrate the beauty and abundance graciously bestowed upon us.
